This 1959 Austin-Healey BN6 100-6 is a Concours-ready specimen dispatched to the US on September 22nd, 1958. It made its way to Sweden in 1991 and has remained ever since. It has just 470 kilometers on the odometer since a complete restoration. The eight-month restoration was completed by Aston Martin and classic car specialist Aston Hill of Stockholm, Sweden. The entire process has been extensively documented, with over 300 photos. Invoices and other documentation are also included in the sale.

This example, chassis number BN6-L/3185, engine number 26D-U-H/69269, 150 two-seat BN6 100-6’s built between March 1958 and 1959. It’s finished in Ivory White with a red interior. It is one of 3, 237 Austin-Healey’s exported to the US market. This BN6 100-6 was factory equipped with disc wheels, and a speedometer in miles per hour. It was delivered to the then US BMCimporter, Hambro Trading Inc. of Los Angeles, without overdrive and tonneau cover.

It arrived in Sweden in 1991, purchased by a Stockholm-based lawyer. It was thenceforth renovated over three years. During the renovation, and the interior was reupholstered in black. It is evident that this Big Healey was cherished by an enthusiastic owner who took it to Austin-Healey club meetings, winning prizes while doing so. After 20 years with its first owner in Sweden, it was bought by an enthusiast in southern Sweden.
