One of just 24 examples, this special edition marks the 20th anniversary of Bentley’s 2003 Le Mans victory with the Speed 8. It’s finished in Verdant Green with a silver centre stripe, clearly inspired by the winning Speed 8, and a black grille stencilled with a ‘7’ in homage to the Capello/Kristensen/Smith car. Inside, carbon-fibre and a mix of black leather and Alcantara with red stitching set a purposeful tone.
The centrepiece is the Rotating Display. As in other Continentals, this motorised panel can present a seamless fascia, the touchscreen infotainment system, or a trio of analogue dials. Here, though, the usual compass, set between the thermometer and stopwatch, has been replaced by a miniature display cabinet containing a genuine valve from the 4.0-litre, twin-turbocharged V8 that powered the race-winning Speed 8 in 2003.
