Honda NSX-S – 2000

This 2000 Honda NSX Type S is one of 209 produced. It was sold new in Japan but swiftly made its way to the United Kingdom on August 1st, 1999. It has resided in Sweden since October 10th, 2017. Since new, it has covered just 74,800 kilometres.

On February 6th, 1997, Honda unveiled the new Type S for the Japanese Domestic Market. It offered a new 3,2-liter V6 developing 280 horsepower, a new close-ratio 6-speed manual transmission, and a more driver-oriented setup.

Moreover, the Type S offers a 45-kilogram reduction of weight, revised suspension for better road feel, and natural steer characteristics. Additionally, this iteration of the NSX was adorned with Type S-specific BBS forged aluminium wheels, a Momo steering wheel, and carbon-Kevlar Recaro seats.

The specimen we have on offer, chassis number NA21000276, is draped in Monte Carlo Blue Pearl (B-66P), which was only offered between 1997 and 1999. The interior is black and blue, and the car has received an updated Honda Stereo System.

The original exhaust has been replaced with an aftermarket titanium system, but the former comes with the purchase. When new, this NSX was ordered with the driver’s airbag, a no-cost option, but now has a Momo steering wheel.

Modern classic car specialist MOTIKON of Uppsala, Sweden, has thoroughly inspected and serviced this specimen. Since arriving in Sweden, it has received an oil change. It has also been wrapped in transparent plastic.

This 2000 Honda NSX Type S is a fantastic example of one of the most sought-after iterations of the Gordon Murray-approved Japanese supercar. It’s one of Honda’s greatest hits, with a driving experience to match, longing for its next outing.
