The E-type, First unveiled at the 1961 Geneva Salon swiftly made headlines thanks to its remarkable design. The E-Type was Jaguar founder Sir William Lyons’ magnum opus and cemented its place in the books of automotive history early on. Enzo Ferrari even called it the most beautiful car he had ever laid eyes on.
Not only did the E-Type establish itself as a piece of automotive art, but the engineering on offer – especially at the time – was remarkably advanced. The straight-six engine was a masterpiece, while the disc brakes ensured that the E-Type stopped as well as it went.
Since its inception, the E-Type has meandered its way to the top of the most iconic cars of the 20th century, not to mention one of the most desirable classic cars out there. This Particular car. Chassis number 1E 32505 comes in the shape of a series one coupe finished in the stunning specification of a Gunmetal grey exterior paired with a beautiful Cinnamon leather interior, gives you a chance to experience what Jaguar’s customers had the chance to do in the 1960s and 70s: Owning a new E-type.
Reborn in better condition than on the day it rolled out of the factory in Coventry. This MOTIKON E-type has been subject to a complete bolt for bolt restoration.
First our cars are painted, the trunk, front frame, and bulkhead receive the same finish as the rest of the car. Mechanically, everything in the front suspension is disassembled, blasted, and powder-coated in your desired colour, or alternatively, galvanised. All bushings, bolts, and nuts are new. New bearings, brakes and hoses are installed. Additionally, new brake cylinders and brake servo are fitted. The heating system is completely renovated with new seals and a painted, new heater core. New water pipes are installed in the bulkhead. AC is available as an option.
The engine receives new gaskets and seals, a new coolant pump, and a new starter motor. Carburetors are either renovated or if needed replaced with new ones. Electronic ignition is added, and the engine is painted and polished. Gearbox seals are replaced, and a new clutch is installed. We install new heat shields for radiation from the exhaust manifolds, and the cardan tunnel gets insulated. The radiator is cleaned, pressure-tested, and painted, or alternatively, an aluminium radiator is installed, featuring a modern cooling fan.
The steering rack and pinion are fully renovated and painted, with new joints and dust covers installed. New wiring, along with a new Hi-Torque starter motor and a renovated generator is fitted. The floor is sprayed with an MS polymer waterproof layer. Upholstery is customised according to needs, tastes, preferences, and liking. And The sills are covered with Niroxx or Alcantara.
