Maserati Spyder 4.2 V8 – 2003

This 2003 Maserati 4200 GT Spyder (Tipo M138) is one of 574 manual GT Spyders produced between 2001 and 2007 as per Maserati Classiche. This well-documented specimen is essentially a two-owner car with 41, 060 kilometers on the odometer. This specimen is finished in the elegant combination of Grigio Alferi with a tan leather interior. In tandem with the marvelous 4.2-liter Ferrari-derived F136 R V8 and six-speed manual, it’s a pristine example of one of the most underrated GT cars of the early 2000s.

First registered on July 1st, this 4200 GT Spyder was first used by the official Maserati and Ferrari dealer Mille Miglia Motors in Munich, as a demonstration car. In their ownership, 600 kilometers. It was subsequently purchased by a Mr. Klaus Kunze, as part of a six-car garage. During its 12-year tenure with the Kunze family, bringing up the total to 36, 500 kilometers.

This example was never driven in the rain, as highlighted by factory white chalk markings adorning the exhaust system. After Mr. Kunze’s passing, the car was passed on to his wife, Mrs. Helga Kunze. On March 24th, it was purchased by Mr. Arpad Földessy of Stockholm, Sweden. As highlighted by the extensive service documentation, this desirable example has been well cared for during its time in Germany and Sweden. Upon its arrival in Sweden, this Maserati 4200 GT Spyder was given a thorough service overhaul.

This 2003 Maserati 4200 GT Spyder is an exquisite and authenticated youngtimer and one of the last breeds of manual Maserati cars.
