This Mercedes-Benz 280 SL “Pagoda” comes in as close to new condition as it gets, recently completed after a comprehensive restoration carried out by our friends at TopClassics in France. They sell comparable cars for over €230,000.
Finished in a period-correct and elegant specification: an Anthracite Grey exterior perfectly paired with an exclusive Cognac leather interior.
The restoration has been executed to the absolute highest standard and can be compared to Brabus restorations, which are often regarded as the industry’s finest – though at a significantly higher price.
The Mercedes-Benz W113, known as the Pagoda, was developed by Fritz Nallinger and Rudolf Uhlenhaut, and designed by Paul Bracq and Béla Barényi. Introduced at the 1963 Geneva Motor Show, the W113’s bold design made it a standout of its time.
Originally priced at twice the cost of a Jaguar E-Type, the W113’s build quality and refinement were unmatched, making it a highly sought-after collector’s item today.
