Porsche 968 ClubSport – 1993

This 1993 Porsche 968 ClubSport is draped in the spectacular Maritime Blue, which was only available for the 1993 model year. It has matching so-called Cup alloy wheels, and rear wing. It also has an aftermarket lip spoiler, finished in Maritime Blue.

It has a tad over 142, 000 kilometers on the odometer and is a mechanically sound and usable example of the most driver-oriented of the 968s. As per the legendary Walter Röhrl, the 968 Club Sport was the best handling car Porsche had ever produced.

Porsche’s engineers went above and beyond to minimize the car’s footprint. The 968 CS is equipped with manually adjustable lightweight Sparco bucket seats, a manual boot release cable, a three-spoke steering wheel without an airbag (included), and no rear seats. As a result, 100 kilograms was shaved off the curb weight compared to the regular 968.

This Porsche 968 Club Sport has an excellent history and documentation. It has a revised suspension setup, riding lower than the standard sports suspension. However, the original factory parts are included in the sale.

The 3-liter four-cylinder engine churns out 237 brake horsepower, powering the rear wheels through a slick six-speed manual transmission. To quote EVO: ”The 968 Club Sport will always be a high spot for combining great handling and a sweet four-cylinder engine”.
