Volvo 850R – 1996

This Volvo 850 R is finished in red over a beige leather and alcantara-trimmed interior featuring light birch wood inlays and a black and beige leather-trimmed steering wheel. A well-preserved Swedish sold example of the modern classic with one private user since new (in the care of a product director at Volvo Cars).

Produced for two years between 1996 and 1997, the 850 R built upon the already impressive T-5R’s performance, and could sprint from 0-100km/h in just 6.8 seconds. It is powered by a 2.3-litre turbocharged five-cylinder engine, which sends 250hp to the front wheels via a five-speed manual transmission.

It rides on the original set of 17-inch seven-spoke alloys, shod in new Goodyear tyres. Factory-fitted equipment includes electrically adjustable memory front seats, dual-zone climate control, a trip computer, electric windows, and a radio CD cassette player.

Well documented over the years with service book and invoices and thorough inspection and service has been performed by the specialist at MOTIKON, Sweden.
