Citroen ID20 -68
The Citroën DS were manufactured and marketed by Citroën from 1955 to 1975 in sedan/fastback, wagon/estate and convertible body configurations, across three series. Marketed with a less expensive variant, the Citroën ID as this typical example, the DS was known for its aerodynamic, futuristic body design and innovative technology, and set new standards ride quality, handling and braking — thanks to both being the first mass production car equipped with, hydropneumatic suspension as well as Disc brakes. The 1967 series 3 also introduced directional headlights to a mass-produced car.
Italian sculptor and industrial designer Flaminio Bertoni and the French aeronautical engineer André Lefèbvre styled and engineered the car, and Paul Magès developed the hydropneumatics self-leveling suspension. Robert Opron designed the 1967 Series 3 facelift.
Our MOTIKON classic Citroen ID20 was sold old new in Kiruna Sweden 1968. The unusual model Finition.
Administration in black exterior AC200 and grey interior is a very well-kept example and restored over time for body, engine, hydraulics, gearbox and is very solid. Interior has partly been restored. The car has a good overall patina. Comes with good documentation as original manual and service book and owner history.
