Lamborghini Countach
- One of only 150 LP 400s
- 3.9-liter L 406 V12 developing 375 horsepower
- Usable classic driver
This 1975 Lamborghini Countach ‘Periscopio’ is a certified example of one of Marcello Gandini’s greatest hits. This specimen is in delightful, usable driving condition with 22,320
kilometers on the odometer and is a definitive 1970s supercar.
The Countach was launched in the wake of the 1973 oil crisis resulting in this being one of
only 157 LP 400s built between 1974 and 1978. This example is car #71. This unit left the factory in Sant ’Agata Bolognese in November 1975. It is one of the most undiluted
expressions of the Countach and took the Italian marque to new heights.
This example was sold new in Germany and was delivered to its first owner in red with a
black interior. Shortly thereafter, it made its way to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA. Finally,
after spending more than a decade basking in the Sunshine State – where the interior was
reupholstered to yellow – it made its way to Sweden.
On May 10th, 1989, this LP 400 arrived in Gothenburg to Rune Svensson, a Volvo Cars
Executive. He cared for the Countach for almost 15 years; in 2005, the car made its way to Stockholm. The new owner repainted the Countach to silver with a brown interior.
This 1975 Lamborghini Countach has had four caring custodians and has been well looked after with thorough documentation. It’s in suitable driving condition and has recently been serviced by our expert team at MOTIKON. It’s a usable classic, looking for its next enthusiast,
and can be viewed at our showroom in Uppsala, Sweden.
